Daniel Deen Jones, 73, of McRae, died Thursday, May 17. A memorial service will be held at 4:00P.M., Saturday, May 19, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

A native of Douglas, Mr. Jones had lived in Telfair County for most of his life and was the son of the late William Tindal Jones and the late Audrey Powell Jones. A graduate of Telfair County High School, he worked in residential construction and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ann Jones of McRae; children, Dennia (Chester) Swain of McRae, Doug (Michelle) Jones of McRae and Cindy (Neal) Cooper of Jonesboro; brothers and sister, Kirby (Jenni) Jones of McRae, Larry (Allison) Jones of Thompson, and Delores (Wade) Burnsed of McRae; grandchildren, Josh (Brittany) Swain, Jenna (Benjie) Towns, Haley Jones, Abigail Cooper and Amelia Cooper; and great-grandchildren, Braxton Grainger, Jaci Swain, Brycen Swain, Caden Towns and Morgan Towns.
