OBITUARY Daniel Erwin Wetzel September 19, 1963 – November 9, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Daniel Erwin Wetzel, 55, passed away on November 9, 2018 in Dallas Texas. Dan, son of the late Charles Erwin Wetzel, Jr. and Nancy Blair Wetzel, was born September 19,1963 and raised in St. Louis. Dan graduated from Christian Brothers College High School in 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He later graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in Business Administration in 1986. Further earned his MBA at St. Louis University in 1989. Dan was passionate about all sports, playing basketball, participating in many Triathlons, and enjoyed spending many hours on the golf course at Royals Oaks in Dallas.

Following in his Fathers and Uncles footsteps earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an active member and leader of Pi Kappa Alpha at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He was a beloved son and loving husband and father.

Dan was dearly loved and will be missed. Dan is survived by his wife Kari Kendzior Wetzel, Dallas, Texas; his daughter Claire Kathleen Wetzel, Dallas, Texas; and two sister’s, Ann Wetzel Michael (Roy) of Jefferson City Missouri and Christine Wetzel Tullmann (Joe) of St. Louis Missouri; other relatives and many friends. A memorial service celebrating Dan’s life will be held in Dallas on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 12pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home .

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or a charity of your choice.
