Obituary for Daniel John Blouse Daniel John Blouse, 46, of Marietta died peacefully at home, Monday, December 3, 2018. Born in Williamsport on January 26, 1972, he was the son of Melvin A. Blouse, husband of Kim Blouse of York, and the late Claire E. (Bixler) Watts. Dan was the loving husband of Deanna M. (Herr) Blouse, to whom he was married for 23 years.

Dan was a 1991 graduate of Donegal High School, where he was a member of the baseball team and was a fullback on the football team wearing jersey #31. In his youth, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. Dan was an avid Baltimore Ravens football fan.

He enjoyed local day trips with Deanna, taking in the many attractions in the central Pennsylvania area. Dan fulfilled his life-long dream of owning a Jeep, and he loved to go out 4 wheeling in it, especially in the snow. He enjoyed fishing and boating, feeding the ducks on the Susquehanna, and baking pumpkin custard pies with his step-grandmother, Peggy Davin of Manchester.

Dan will always be remembered for his friendly personality and infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed. Dan is also survived by his son, Ryan Bleacher of Parkville, MD; his daughter, Kyra Bleacher of Boulder, CO; his father-in-law, Daniel Herr of Lancaster; his mother-in-law, Lilli Crawford of Loysville, and many more family members and friends.

Private services for Dan will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Dan’s memory to the Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center, 848 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603, would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA 17403.
