Obituary for Daniel Joseph Kushmaul Daniel Joseph Kushmaul, age 68 of Pine Bluff, known to his friends as Kush, passed into Heaven in the early evening of April 24, 2018. Born in Jonesboro, Ar. October 12, 1949, he was a son of the late R. H. Kushmaul and Edit Yandle Kushmaul.

Daniel grew up in White Hall where he saw a red-headed freckle faced young girl get off the school bus in the 7th grade. The young girl was Marylon Ashcraft and he said he was in love with her at first sight and at the age of 14 told his friend Mike Miller he was going to marry her. Daniel was a 1967 graduate of White Hall High School.

Daniel married Marylon, on September 5, 1970. Although they were never blessed with children of their own, they were loved by many children. Daniel was proud of his service to his country during the Vietnam War as a Boatswain’s Mate in the U. S. Navy on the USS Oklahoma City Flag Ship home ported in Yokosuka, Japan.

Upon discharge from the Navy, Daniel was employed by Weyerhaeuser and self employed as a residential contractor and entrepreneur. Later employed at the Pine Bluff Arsenal as a chemical operator at the WP Plant from which he retired in 2007 at the age of 57. Daniel continued to be semi-active in the management of their rental property.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Daniel is survived by three brothers, Richard Kushmaul, Ronald Kushmaul and John Kushmaul; two sisters, Margaret Arensman and Mary Trimble. Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, 10:00a.m. at White Hall United Methodist Church. The service will follow at 11:00a.m. and interment will follow in White Hall Methodist Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
