It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel M. Flynn, 75, of Magnolia announces his passing on October 9, 2018 at Kent General Hospital. Dan was born June 28, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to Daniel and Catherine Flynn. Dan retired in 1984 after 21 years of honorable service in the Air Force.

He then retired from civil service, Dover AFB, after 26 years in February 2012. Dan was a member of the Magnolia Town Council for over 10 years, serving as mayor, vice mayor and council member. He was a life member of the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, where he was treasurer, chairperson for the Engine #1 Restoration Project, and served in several other different capacities.

He was a member of NARFE and many military organizations. Dan was also a member of the Church of the Holy Cross in Dover. Dan was a very loving husband, father, grandfather (Pop Pop) and friend and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita; his son Daniel; daughter Trisha; son Joseph; sister Joan McCoy; brother Michael Flynn; grandchildren Allyson Flynn, Peyton, Madison and Logan Cluff and Braydon and Kamryn Flynn as well as many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

Dan has touched many hearts and will be greatly missed. There will be a viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Noon Monday at Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.

Entombment will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any donations in Dan’s memory be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc., 355 Lexington Avenue, 15thFloor, New York, NY 10017 or visit the website www. myasthenia.org.
