OBITUARY Daniel Martin Gorney September 16, 1966 – July 27, 2018 Daniel Martin Gorney was born in Houston, Texas on September 16, 1966, and passed away on July 27, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ellen Gorney and Louis Martin Gorney, Jr., and his grandparents. Daniel is survived by his children, Damien M. Gorney, Adrienne Gorney Flowers and husband Alec, Amber Gorney Davis and husband Allen Stephanie Gorney, and Louis Gorney; his sisters, Kathy Kimich and husband Raymond, Beth Bishop and husband Byron, and Terrie Gorney and husband Mike Brophy; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Daniel was a proud veteran of the United States Army, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to build things. He dearly loved his family and had a great passion for reading. The family will receive friends and loved ones at a visitation from 5 to 8 pm with rosary service beginning at 7 pm on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77018.

A funeral service for Daniel will be held at Brookside on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 10:00am, with a burial service to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
