Daniel “Danny” (Nestorio) Rodriguez was born in Solano, Ecuador, on October 12, 1939, to Luis Rodriguez and Serafina de Jesus Sanchez, the youngest of seven children: Victor, Estella, Delicia, Guillermina, Luis, and Humberto. He grew up in the port city of Guayaquil. At the age of nineteen, Danny moved to Chicago.

After living there for ten years he came to live in New York, where he met his wife, Lillian. They have two daughters, Denise and Monica. Danny had worked in the computer department of NYU for twenty seven years up until he retired in 1995.

Danny is survived by his two sisters and one brother, his former wife Lillian, his two daughters, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
