Obituary for Daniel Berry Unionville, NY: Daniel Berry, 69 years old, died suddenly at his home and went to be with his Savior for the rest of eternity on Monday, September 17, 2018. He was born in Irvington, NJ on September 6, 1949 and was married to “his woman” Peggy for 48 years. Together they raised three children: Marlene(Tom Meyers), Al(Sharon) and Roger(Tammy).
While serving in the Army, Daniel spent fourteen months in Vietnam. He worked as a truck driver for State Line Service/Frederick’s Fuel for 44 years and during this time he also worked on the Toner Farm for 20 years. He was an elder at the Hudson Valley Reformed Church in New Hampton, NY, a former board member at the Sus Christian School, served on the Zoning Board of Appeals Committees in Minisink and Unionville and served as secretary for the Mt.
Salem Cemetery Board. Opa loved and adored his grandchildren: Morgan and Mackenzie Meyers, Taylor, Cole, Hannah, Tucker and Greta Berry and Raymond and Jack Berry. He always got great enjoyment out of seeing if he could make someone smile.
The family will receive their friends at Hudson Valley United Reformed Church, 1043 Route 12, New Hampton, NY 10958 on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10 AM at the church. Interment to follow at Mt.
Salem Cemetery, Wantage Twp. , NJ. Memorial gifts to Sus Christian School would be appreciated.
