Beloved wife of the late Roger Egeling, dear mother to Alexander James (Alex) Egeling and Robert Jackson (Jack) Egeling. Danielle was the daughter of Jeri Finch and the late Robert Finch of St. Louis, Missouri and the late Richard Dagraedt of Peru, Illinois.

Loving sister of Mollie Finch and the late David Dagraedt. Sister-in-law to Wanda Dagraedt and aunt to Shelley Martin and Ryan Garrett. Danielle was a loyal, generous, and trusted friend to many as evidence of the outpouring of love and generosity in her final years.

Danielle graduated from Clayton High School in 1973, and attended the University of Missouri Columbia where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She would go on to further her studies at Washington University, Webster University, and Maryville University. Danielle was an inspiring and gifted educator who truly loved the thousands of students who entered her classroom in her 30+ year teaching career.

She transformed the lives of so many children during her years as an educator at Mary Queen of Peace School in Webster Groves, New City School in St. Louis, and Clark Elementary School in Webster Groves. A countless number of students can attribute their love of learning to Mrs. Egeling. Danielle was a big supporter and advocate for appropriate child development in kindergarten.

Danielle lived life to the fullest. She was able to make a stranger into a friend in an instant. Her gift of gab and love of laughter brought joy to all who knew her.

Danielle was a member of AAUW (American Association of University Women), supported Moms Demand Action for Common Sense Gun Laws, and was an advocate for the Cancer Support Community in Des Peres. Danielle will be deeply missed. Visitation Sunday April 15th, 1pm – 4pm at Bopp Chapel, at the family’s request there will be no receiving line.
