Obituary for Dannie James Bailey Dannie James Bailey, 62 of Early, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 12 at home. He leaves behind a wife, Sharee Fowler Bailey of Early; a stepdaughter, Summer Huggins of Austin; a sister, Julia Lindley of May, and her husband, Jerry; mother-in-law Ernett Chrane of Brownwood; nieces and nephews Jamie Lindley Rogers, Scott Lindley, Toby Lindley, Taj Chrane and Tanner Harlow; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Louise Bailey, both of May.

Dannie was born in Abilene and grew up in the fields and schools of May, Texas. He spent most of his career as an RN in Austin and other cities around Central Texas. He was a great cook, loved nature, and had an infectious laugh, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.

He loved all animals, especially his cats. He selflessly devoted his last years to the care of his wife, Sharee, after her debilitating stroke in 2011. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
