Jan Devereaux and Dr. Phil DeMore, officiating. The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Mr. Pickens passed away November 29, 2018. Born at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta on November 30, 1947, Mr. Pickens was the son of the late Howard and Gladys Pickens. Mr. Pickens was a manager in electrical distributions.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pickens is preceded in death by brother Phillip Howard Pickens. Survivors include daughters Lisa Renee Waldrop (Trey) of Freeport, Florida, Megan Caroline Pickens of Clarkesville, Catie Jordan (Jacob) of Ranger, and Ginny Ann Huff (Cameron) of Loganville, son Danny Raye Pickens, Jr., of Athens, brother William Douglas Pickens (Laura) of Cumming, sister Gail Pickens Hayden of St. Cloud, Florida, sister in law Kathleen Pickens of Decatur, grandchildren Bishop, Belle, Sierra, Barrett Sheppard, Kaya Rei “Rikki-Tikki”, Jackson Sheppard, and a baby granddaughter on the way Those wishing may send condolences online at www. hillsidememorialchapel.com.
