Daphyne Joyce Patterson, 91, of Geneseo, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Rosewood Care Center in Moline, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family service and inurnment will take place in Batesville, Arkansas, at a later date. Daphyne was born on September 11, 1927, the daughter of Harve and Bird (Clapp-Shirley) Melton, in Batesville, Arkansas.

She married Earl Med Patterson on May 16, 1944, in Batesville. Earl preceded her in death in 2011. Daphyne was a saleswoman for many years and worked with her husband selling mobile homes.

The couple’s business was named “Earl’s Mobile Home”. Daphyne was a member of the Methodist Church in Batesville, Arkansas. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Stephen (Gail Arnold) Patterson, of Moline, IL, daughter, Carol Lee (Hassan Kouhen) Patterson, of Lake Forest, CA, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Daphyne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl, and a brother, Lavon Melton.
