Darie Arlie Stutler (Davisson) of Akron, Ohio died peacefully with family by her side on May 17, 2018 at the age of 82 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Calhoun County, West Virginia on May 25, 1935 to Earl and Zelma Davisson. Darie was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Stutler.

Darie is survived by her children, Thomas Stutler (Virginia), New Franklin, Ohio, Linda Hicks (John), Surprise, Arizona, David Stutler, Orrville, Ohio, Karen (Bill) Lynden, Surprise, Arizona, and Lisa Sackett (Robert), Maineville, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Darie graduated from Calhoun County High School and moved to Ohio in 1953. She met and married the love of her life, Mack Stutler.

They had a wonderful life together, raising five children, working hard and enjoying many fun times with family and friends. Darie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was involved in every aspect of their lives, and everyone felt loved and cared for by Darie.

Being masterful in the kitchen, she enjoyed cooking for all who entered her home. She loved to read and spend time gardening having an incomparable green thumb. Her Christmas Eve parties were legendary and she loved to host large celebrations in her home for family and friends.

Darie was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing. She will be greatly missed and not soon forgotten. Please join us in celebrating Darie’s life on Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd.

Akron, Ohio 44319. Visitation at Bacher Funeral Home will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with graveside service immediately following at Lockwood Cemetery, 3680 Manchester Rd. , Akron, Ohio 44319.
