North Augusta, SC……………. . Darin Theodore Cockrell, 19, entered into rest on Friday, December 14, 2018 at his residence.

His memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel. Darin was an incredibly loving person. He loved Jesus and his family, particularly his nieces and nephews.

His loving nature earned him an award in high school for helping the students in the special needs class. Darin was a people person and was always striving to make those around him proud. He loved to cook, he was especially fond of eggs with ketchup, Totino’s pizza rolls and toaster strudel.

A young man of many talents, he played football and baseball but music was his biggest talent. He was an incredible guitar player and drummer. His dream was to one day be a music producer.

Left to cherish Darin’s memory are his parents, Albert Cockrell and Julie Johnson; his brother, Jeremy Johnson; his sisters, Jesica Johnson and Tailore Cooper; maternal grandparents, Ted and Louise Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Bonnie Cockrell as well as his uncle and namesake, Darin Cockrell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Due to the suddenness of Darin’s death, the family requests that any memorial donations be directed to the funeral home for Darin’s final expenses.
