Obituary for Darleen A. “Susie” Botten Darleen A. “Susie” Botten, age 76, passed away Monday evening, October 29, 2018. She was born March 11, 1942 in Muskegon to Elmer and Ann (Hulka) Middlecamp. Susie was a 1960 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School.

On February 3, 1996, she married Dennis E. Botten in Muskegon. Susie worked for Mills Manufacturing for 20 years prior to retiring. She was a life-member of the Fruitport Eagles.

Susie was an amazing artist, enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and going to the cottage on the weekends in Hesperia and spending the winters in Florida. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and attending the grandchildren’s sporting events. SURVIVORS include her husband, Dennis; two children: Scott (Mary Hanson) Butler, Kent Butler both of Muskegon; three step-children: Mark (Teri) Botten of Twin Lake, Douglas (Paula) Botten of Wisconsin, Tammy (Tom) VanFossen of Muskegon; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Middlecamp of Muskegon; two nephews: Mark and Gene Middlecamp; and a niece, Paula Justice.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elmer “Junior” Middlecamp. A Celebration of Susie’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorials to the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
