Palmquist, 72, of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota on May 13, 2019. He was born to Robert and Lucille (Laabs) Palmquist on August 8, 1946 in Ironwood, Michigan. Darrel enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and loved animals.

He was always there to help a friend or neighbor. Darrell is survived by Lynn, his wife of 45 years; two sons, Garrett (Katie) Palmquist and Clint (Tiffany Campbell) Palmquist; grandchildren, Alyson, Ryan, and Celeste; his brother, Craig (Linda) Palmquist; his dogs, Harley, Dug, Sky and Lexi; and his cat, Jinx. The family is requesting donations to offset Darrel’s medical costs at the “Darrel Palmquist Memorial” on www.
