OBITUARY Darrell Lee Duplechin August 29, 1947 – September 4, 2018 Darrell Lee Duplechin 71, passed away due to an illness on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Darrell was an avid horseman who loved the thrill of the race track as much as he loved to show his moves on the dance floor. He leaves behind his wife and racing partner, Harriett Hayes Duplechin of Sulphur; one son, Shawn; one daughter, Wendy; sister, Betty Reeves and husband Wayne of Topsy, LA; step children; grandchildren and his little buddy “Cujo”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delco and Ella Duplechin; brother, Larry Duplechin and sister, Nora Broussard. Pall bearers are Chad Hebert, Denny Ardoin, Josh Casey, Cade Jones, Hayes Hardin and Logan Hayes. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm.

Visitation will resume at the funeral home Friday from 8:00 am until time of service. Funeral service will be held at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff Duplat 10:00 am on Friday, September 7, 2018. Burial will follow at Hebert’s Cemetery in Hecker, LA.
