Darrell Lee Gulley , June 04, 1969 — April 29, 2019

Darrell Lee Gulley, 49, of Connersville passed away unexpected Monday, April 29, 2019. He was born June 4, 1969 in Connersville, the youngest of ten children of Shelby “Pete” and Ruth Ann Klemme Gulley. Lee attended both Connersville High School and the Whitewater Valley Area Vocational School where he studied welding.

For over 30 years, he was employed as a metal fabricator at Lemaster Steel of Noblesville. Recently, he has become self-employed as a metal fabricator. On August 17, 2002, he was married in Connersville to Lodema Lavone Lewis, who survives.

Lee was a member of the Everton Community Church. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, collecting rocks, spending time with his family and was always available to help others. Survivors besides his wife, include five children, Connor Lee Gulley, Shelby Lynn Jeannette Gulley, Edith Isabella Gulley, Kaidance Mildred Tracey Gulley and Kendall Lavone Gulley, all at home; his mother, Ruth Ann Gulley, of Everton; nine siblings, Shirley (Terry) Jefferies, Alvin Ray (Rosemary) Gulley, William D. ( Donna) Gulley, Donna Fay Hamilton, Morris K. (Lisa) Gulley, all of Everton, Mary C. (Mark) Huffman, of Rushville, Thomas G. Gulley, of Connersville, Phillip A. (Barb) Gulley, of Florida and Kenneth D. (Debbie) Gulley, of Bentonville; aunt, Dora Leab, of Connersville; uncle Jerry Gulley, of New Paris, Ohio.

Lee is blessed with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lee is also survived by his father-in-law, Robert Lewis, of Connersville; his mother-in-law, Mildred Plummer, of Connersville; a sister-in-law, Tracey (Keith Bennington) Rose, of Connersville and a brother-in-law, Glenn McQueen, of Connersville. He is preceded in death by his father, Shelby “Pete” Gulley, who died April 23, 2013 and a brother-in-law, Robert Corbin Lewis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Monday, May 6, 2019 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor John Mark Harlan officiating. Burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 8 PM Sunday and anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com.
