Darrell Thomas (Tom) Howell of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went to his heavenly home on December 7, 2018 surrounded by his love ones. He was 72 years old. He was born February 11, 1946 in Renfrow Kentucky, son of the late Edwin and Yetti Howell.

He was an over the road truck driver until he retired in 1999; he then went to work at Perdue in Beaver Dam until 2002. He served as the chairman of the Republican Party, was a Kentucky colonel, and was a member of the Hartford Christian Church. He enjoyed playing cards and playing with all the grandchildren.

Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Howell; brothers Jerry and Roy; sisters, Dimple, Marlene, Ramona and Opal. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda, which he referred to her as being his world. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Barry) Dooley of Alabama; stepdaughter, Sandi Geary (Mike) Stenberg; stepson, Bobby (Kelly) Geary from Centertown; 7 grandkids; 15 great grandkids; brothers, Jim (Dorthy) Howell of Nickelsville, Donnie (Jean) Howell of Olaton, Ronnie (Marie) Howell of Spain, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at 2 PM Saturday, December 15 at the Hartford Christian Church, 122 West Walnut Street, Hartford KY. Friends may visit with Mr. Howell’s family from 1-2 PM at the church. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Hartford Christian church children’s Christmas fund, P.O. Box 105, Hartford, KY 42347.
