Obituary for Darrin P. Means Darrin P. Means Of Karns City, PA, passed away with loving family members by his side on December 10, 2018. Darrin was born into this world on December 27, 1976 in Chaffee, Missouri. He was a fighter from the moment he took his first breath and a free spirit in life.
He was tough as nails on the outside while being a soft-hearted loving soul on the inside. Darrin was the kind of person who truly loved to laugh and live life with a positive attitude even through some of the most difficult times. He had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and soulful eyes.
He brought joy to those who loved him. He was a loving and kind soul who would be there for his family, friends and other loved ones through thick and thin. Darrin knew how to love deeply and unconditionally, and simply wanted to be loved deeply and unconditionally in return.
Darrin was an extremely proud daddy and pawpaw who loved his children and granddaughter with all his heart. They were the center of his world and the most joyous parts of his life. Darrin departed this world and joined his father, Lanny Joe Means, and his eldest brother, Brian Keith Means in heaven.
He is survived by Nichole Means (daughter) with Brandon Graham and Nevaeh (granddaughter); Katelyn Means (daughter); Hannah Means (daughter); DJ Means (son); Sharon Kay Means (mother); Ann Lingenfelter (sister) with Wendell Elms and Patrick Lingenfelter (nephew); Joe Means (brother) with Misty Means (sister-in-law), Peyton Martin (niece) and family, Tyler Brewer (nephew) and family, Garrett Means (nephew) and family, and Wyatt Means (nephew); DeeDee Butler (sister) with Travis Butler (brother-in-law), Dakota Butler (nephew), Sami Short (niece), and Brett Butler (nephew). He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Patty Portis and her family along with a host of other loving family members (grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins) and all his friends. Additionally, Darrin worked with Keith and Kirby at Litzenberg Drilling in Karns City, PA.
His employers and coworkers at Litzenberg Drilling were also his friends and like family to him. Although we cannot list everyone by name, please know that all were loved and important to him, and we are truly grateful to all for being a meaningful part of his life. Although Darrin is gone from this world, he blessed us with his life, his love, his laughter and his existence.
We shall carry his love with us always. We will cherish every special memory we have of him with all our hearts. Losing him has been heartbreaking, but we shall do our best to always honor him by remembering to love deeply and unconditionally, to find humor in life so we may laugh loudly and often, to enjoy simply living life to the fullest, and to face this world with a positive attitude even as we face the challenges and difficult times life throws at us.
Let there be no regrets because Darrin blessed us with his existence and loved us all unconditionally as we will always love him. He will forever be our Superman! There were no public visitations, but Darrin’s life was celebrated by family and friends on December 14, 2018.
