Davena Williamson, 89, of East Springfield, OH, passed away September 18, 2018 at Amberwood Manor, New Philadelphia, OH. She was born April 26, 1929 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Thomas and Isabella (Lawson) Muir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Williamson; brother, Thomas Muir III; and sister, Alice Muir.

Davena graduated from Wintersville High School in 1947. She formerly worked for First National Bank and Trust of Steubenville. Davena was an active member of the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross, where she was a member of Ladies Aid, choir, and taught Sunday school.

Davena was a dedicated servant to her church. She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Mark) McCourt, and Beth (G.L.) Rowan; sister, Janet Cicone; and grandchildren, Alana (Josh) Hohman, Matthew (Brittany) Harsh, Michael Rowan, and Emily Rowan. Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
