OBITUARY David A. Robinson May 26, 1959 – December 17, 2018 David A. Robinson, 59, of Windermere, FL, died at Winter Garden Hospital surrounded by his family on December 17, 2018. Dave is survived by his loving wife Patti of 40 years, son Daniel, Kara Bosserd, sisters Barbara (Dan) Leishman, Debra (Rod) Short, and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was born to parents Herb and Kathryn Robinson, on May 26, 1959, in New Philadelphia, OH, who have preceded him in death.

Dave was a loving husband, dad, brother, uncle, and friend. Dave “Robbins” was legendary in the radio industry. He received many prestigious awards in his field, but personal relationships were most rewarding to him.

Mentoring, inspiring, and motivating others were just a few of his many gifts. His talents touched those around him and launched many successful careers. His days on air and his recognizable “booming” radio voice have left a lasting impression on many.

After his departure from radio, Dave, along with Patti and Daniel, used his love of real estate and his entrepreneurial skills to launch a vacation rental business. Dave had numerous interests. He loved boating, fishing, golfing, traveling and car racing.

He enjoyed watching the Buckeyes and Browns in addition to cheering on his Indians and Cubs baseball teams. Dave had a passion for reading about history and loved everything about the Civil War. He also appreciated a nice glass of Cakebread Cabernet or a Blanton’s Bourbon in the evening.

Dave loved his family. His loving wife, Patti was always by his side and together they enjoyed raising their son Daniel. He was most proud of his son, Daniel, and all of his accomplishments.

Watching his son pitch on the mound during high school and college filled Dave with pride. Dave loved his friends and was always willing to help. He was generous, thoughtful, humorous, and gracious.

Dave will be forever missed and loved by ALL. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd. , Gotha, FL 34734, on Friday, December 28.

Funeral services will be at the same location on Saturday, December 29 at 2:00 PM. Dave will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Columbus, OH in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to American Heart Association, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
