David A. Sevey, 43, of Gonzales, passed away peacefully, at home Monday, January 7, 2019. David was born September 24, 1975 in Denver, Colorado and had lived in Monterey County for most of his life. He was a graduate of North High School in Salinas, class of 1994.

He was employed as a corrections sergeant for the State of California for many years, retiring only recently due to his health. He greatly loved his job. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He… Read More » is survived by his wife, Kamela; children, Colton, Amber, Dominck; parents, Jeff (Vicky), Kathy; siblings, Kimberly, Matthew, Johnathan; parents-in-law, Lee (Carolyn), Sherrie (James), many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 3 pm at Woodyard Funeral Home, Soledad, followed with a reception.
