EDGERTON— David A. Stockwell, age 18, of Edgerton, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Janesville on Nov.

15, 1999, the son of Daniel and Heather (Kruckenberg) Stockwell. He was a 2018 graduate of Edgerton High School and had plans to enter the US Marine Corps to serve as a medic, eventually hoping to then further his education and attend medical school. He will be missed! David is survived by his parents, Daniel of Edgerton and Heather of Janesville; 2 half siblings, Christian and Emily; paternal grandmother, Mardell (Jim) Schilleman of Cambridge; maternal grandparents: Mark (Colleen) Kruckenberg of Edgerton and Linda Kruckenberg of Janesville; maternal great grandmothers, Barbara Walberg and Marilyn Kruckenberg; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Stockwell; great grandfathers, Robert Kruckenberg and Jim Walberg; and an uncle, David Walberg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton. Pastor Scott Whiting will officiate and burial will follow in Fassett Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. To honor David, the family will be establishing a memorial to be used for drug and alcohol prevention in the school system.
