David Allen May August 18, 1959 – May 12, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card David Allen May, 59, of Cuero passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was born August 18, 1959 in Cuero to Hilda Fay Meyer May and the late Billie Ray May. David married Jana Cherie Lee on June 21, 1980 in Cuero at Trinity Church.

He was an oilfield supervisor, a devoted farmer, and took great pride in raising his cows. David was a talented welder, an avid hunter, loved to fish, and enjoyed building things with his hands. He always looked forward to his next country ride on his motorcycle.

David is survived by wife of 39 years, Jana Lee May; mother, Hilda Fay Meyer May; daughter, Kaitlin Cherie May of Cuero; and brother, Charles Alvin May of Cuero. He was preceded in death by his father and his son, PFC Jordan Travis May. Visitation will be held May 16, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home.

Services will be Friday, May 17, 2019, 11 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. L.D. Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Westhoff Cemetery.

Pallbearers include David Carr, Thomas Jahnsen, Bobby Hranicky, Terry Bellows, Sidney Baldillez, and Teddy Bellows. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kaitlin May Graduate School Fund at TDECU or the charity of donor’s choice.
