David Arnold Smith, 69, of Gun Barrel City, TX passed on May 27, 2019. He was born on December 10, 1949 in Salem, WV to the home of Nathan and Eva Brandstetter Smith. David was a proud Vietnam War Veteran.

He had been employed with Raytheon for 18 years. He was a collector of old trucks and antique clocks. He enjoyed going to flea markets looking for a treasure.

He loved large family gatherings and spending time with family. David is survived by his wife Edna Sue “Suzie” Smith; children David Nathaniel “Toot” Smith and wife Michelle, Johnathon Ed “Eddie” Smith and wife Shanda; sisters Shirley Yvonne Gay and husband John, and Judy Dolores Smith; grandchildren Kayla Smith, Nathan Smith, Isabella Smith and Ian Smith. David is preceded in death by his parents.
