Obituary for David Carl Cockrell David Carl Cockrell, 64, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Southeast Hospital. He was born October 15, 1954 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Arnold T. and Alta Mae Judd Cockrell. David graduated from Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois.

He worked for the railroad laying tracks in Indiana, waste management in Ohio and worked construction in Cape Girardeau. Survivors include his two daughters, Ashley (Gregory) Kinnel of Columbus, Ohio and Maegan (Stephen) Smith of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Nancy (Tom) McEntee of Rochester, New York, Cheryl (Barry) Lackey of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Donna Jackson of Terre Haute, Indiana; one brother, Tom (Joann) Cockrell of Marble Hill, Missouri; five grandchildren, Keller, Spencer, Layne, Avery and Benjamin; significant other, Terri Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. There will be no services according to David’s wishes.
