David Wayne Cool, 48, of Mont Alto, PA died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home. Born April 26, 1971 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Sally Ann (Dewees) Baumgardner of Lawrenceburg, TN and the late Richard Cool, Sr. Dave was a carpenter and roofer. He worked for KSW Millworks in Waynesboro, PA for several years.

He was a member of the Blue Ridge Summit Sportsman’s Club and the APA Pool League. He attended Jesus Alive Ministries in Waynesboro. Dave enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, drag racing, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.

He was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Yankees. Surviving, in addition to his mother Sally, are daughter, Jennifer Busbey of Hanover; siblings, Robert Dewees and family of Fairfield, Rich Cool of Waynesboro, Cindy Cantley and husband Bob of Gettysburg, and Joe Cool and fiancée Rebecca Messinger of Mont Alto; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by his step-father, Kenneth Baumgardner of Tennessee and his long-time girlfriend, Rena Long of Mont Alto.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
