David “Dave”‘s Obituary David “Dave” Lawrence Hansen, age 47 went to the land of glory with valiant strength, dignity and honor on December 20, 2018 at his mother’s home in Newaygo. Dave was born on November 11, 1971 in Manistee to Deborah and late Robert “Mike” Hansen and has lived in various towns in Michigan where he never wavered in his love of helping people and always being the first to lend himself to the needs of others. As much as he loved his family, he was proudest of his achievement as an excellent devoted father to his cherished sons, Eric and Nick, whom he loved with every fiber of his being.
In addition to Eric and Nick, other family include his mother, Deborah Waitner of Newaygo; brothers and sister, Robert (Helynn) Hansen of Wyoming; Becky (Andy) Benrowsky of Kalkaska; Dan Hansen of Morley; Luke (Kari) Hansen of Midland; special longtime girlfriend Angie Gonyer and her children, Garrett and Breanna; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICES : Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11am at the Kentwood American Legion Post #208 133 44th Street SE Grand Rapids 49548 with Pastor Luke Hansen presiding with a time to greet the family 1 hour prior to the services at the post. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids.
