Obituary for David Duane Lee David Duane Lee July 20, 1951 – December 5, 2018 David D. Lee was called home by the Lord December 5, 2018 in Sibley, Iowa. He was born July 20, 1951 in Crosby, MN to Lawrence and Marlys (Coleman) Lee. David graduated from Milroy, MN high school in 1969, enlisted in the US Navy serving honorably on the USS Dubuque during the Vietnam conflict, and was a member of the American Legion.

During his lifetime, he worked in the Agriculture & Agronomy business throughout Minnesota, Montana, Colorado, and Iowa. He especially loved his time in the West (MT & CO) exploring & hunting elk by horseback with his best friend, Doug Johnson, in the Ft. Benton, MT area.

He enjoyed goose hunting with his dad & brothers, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. David is survived by his mother, Marlys Lee of Ruthven, IA; daughters Lori (Mark) Strelow, Littleton, CO; Teri (J) Doehring, Fort Lupton, CO; Lynn Lundebrek, Arvada, CO; 8 grandchildren, Logan, Dawson, Mason, Kaitlyn, Jadyn, Drake, Zane, Cooper and 1 great granddaughter, Blakely. He is also survived by his siblings, Dianne (Tom) Rogers, Merrifield, MN; Gary (Jackie) Lee, Bulverde, TX; Jeff (Cheryl) Lee, Billings MT; Tim (Deb) Lee, Jackson, MN, many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence (Larry) Lee, grandparents Oliver & Edna Lee, and Frank & Maude Coleman. Thank you to the Avera Hospice team, Steve (Nancy) Schultz, and Sparky Engel for their special care and kindness. The family gratefully declines flowers and donations, but prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted by David’s daughter, Teri Doehring at doehring2@msn.com or 10303 County Road 25, Fort Lupton, CO 80621 and will be shared at his service.

Military honors and internment to be held at a later date in Ruthven, IA.
