Obituary for David E. Robinson Print David E. Robinson, 78 of Satsuma, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at his home after a brief illness. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Putnam County since 1980 coming from Stuart, Florida. David was a member of the San Mateo Church of God and a volunteer First Responder and Fire Fighter with the Satsuma Fire Department.

He was a welder by trade having worked in the construction industry for over 45 years and helped in the building of the cooling towers at Seminole Electric. David also worked as a truck driver for 10 years with America Boat Carriers and Davis Express in Starke. David likewise served honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard.

David is survived by 3 children; James Robinson (Racquel), Jerry Robinson (Stacey) and Julie Smith (Ginger), a sister; Sandy Riegler, 8 grandchildren, Rebecca McAlister (John), Kaitlyn Norris, Andrew Robinson, Richard Norris, Sean Robinson, Thomas Robinson, Jared Robinson and Spencer Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Services will be held at crypt-side at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Palatka Memorial Gardens mausoleum with Bro. Steve Ridenhour officiating.

American Legion Post #45 will conduct military honors and Satsuma Volunteer Fire Department will honor David with the radio last call tribute. Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at David’s Book of Memories page at www. johnsonoverturffunerals.com.
