David Edwin Whiteshield was born July 9th 1938 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Raymond and Rosa (Haag) Whiteshield. He was the youngest of eight children; brothers, Rudy, Harvey, Jack, Robert, Russell, and Raymond; and two sisters, Maggie and Ameila. He was raised in Calumet, Oklahoma and attended Concho Indian Boarding School.

David lived most of his life in Canton, Oklahoma before moving in 2012 to Milwaukie, Oregon up β€˜til his timely death on October 20th 2018. He loved spending time with his family, joking and teasing with family and friends. He had a dry and sarcastic sense of humor, but if you knew him it would be to love him.

David was the one-in-a-million type of person that you will never meet again nor will you ever forget him. His hobbies included reading western books, lottery tickets and going to the casino. He liked to watch TV; especially Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Goodtimes, and Family Feud.

He also liked going to the park to feed the ducks. David had eight children of his own; Wannie Whiteshield, Edward Whiteshield both of Thomas, Oklahoma, David Gould, Anthony Gould, Michele Barela Whiteshield all of Oregon, Gary Whiteshield of El Reno, Oklahoma, Betty Whiteshield and Vivian Whiteshield both of Watonga, Oklahoma; thirty-five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, father, mother, six brothers, two sisters, two sons and two grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed! !
