David Eugene Cook, 70 David Eugene Cook, 70 of Stout died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at SOMC Hospice. He was born September 20, 1948 in Adams County to the late Page Franklin and Mildred McGraw Cook. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers; James, Ronald, Kenneth, and Donald Cook.

He was a United States Navy Veteran, logger, and worked as a mechanic for Community Action for many years. David is survived by 3 sons; David Lee Cook, Robert “Bob” Cook, and Ryan Cook, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a special niece; Dorothy Cook, a special friend; Austin Gifford, a special sister-in-law; Connie Cook, along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Gary Newman officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
