David Eugene Cripps, age 70 of Greenbrier passed away Tuesday, April 30 2019 at VANCO Rehab. In Goodlettsville, TN. Arrangements entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Hwy 41 S., Greenbrier, TN.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Bro. Steve Sorrels officiating. Visitation with the family will be 10am to 2pm at the funeral home on Saturday.

David was born in Springfield, TN on April 17, 1949 to the late Paul and Emma Poole Cripps. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Cripps; step-father, Bud Rawls and a brother Paul Cripps He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Greenbrier First Baptist Church. He worked as a machine operator at Remay Company.

He loved hunting, going to the shooting range, boating and water skiing and motorcycling. He is survived by son, David R. (Loretta) Cripps; daughter, Emily (Chad) Warner; brother, Mark (Lisa) Rawls; sisters, Martha Rawls, Myra (Gary) Nunnelly; grandchildren, Bethany Cripps, Christina Cripps, Nathaniel Warner, Noah Warner; great-grandchildren, Rowan Franklin and Cohen Franklin. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vanderbilt Lung Transplant Foundation, 1301 Medical Center Dr., Suite B817, Nashville, TN 37232.
