Obituary of David F. Savage David F. Savage, 66, of Bay City, our devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 in Detroit. Dave was born in Bay City on September 21, 1952, the son of the late Felix and Ruth (Lytle) Savage. On December 17, 1988, Dave was united in marriage to the former Karen Silvey.

Dave worked as a supervisor for many years at Means Industries – Saginaw Metal Stamping and was known for his love of football (especially the Pittsburgh Steelers), fishing, camping, traveling, and classic cars (especially his 1966 Thunderbird). Always willing to help others, Dave was the “Mr. Fix-It” to many family and friends and enjoyed belonging to the Saginaw Valley Thunderbird Club. His dedicated and humorous ways will always live on.

Dave leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Karen; children, Patrick (Pamela) Savage, Jeffrey Kruchkow, Rebecca (Jon) Turner, David (Melanie) Savage; grandchildren, Megan Scott and Morgan Savage, Anthony Scott, Jordan Morley, Bryce and Macy Kruchkow, and Noelynn, Karissa, and Elizabeth Smith; great-grandson, Ryan Scott (and one more on the way); brothers, William (Marcia) Savage and Charles (Jean) Savage; in-laws, John Havercamp and Katherine (Dr. George) Karapetian, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Dave was welcomed home to heaven by his father and mother-in-law, Robert & Irene Silvey; brother, Thomas Savage; sister, Anne Havercamp, and brother-in-law, Robert Silvey. David’s family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM until Dave’s 2:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd.

, Hampton Twp. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
