Mr. Rodden was born August 18, 1926 in Clarksville, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a United States Army and Air Force Veteran and member of the First Baptist Church, New Boston.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Rodden. Survivors include one son, Leslie Rodden of New Boston, Texas, one daughter and son in law, Robin and Bobby McMillen of DeKalb, Texas, three grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one sister in law, Joyce Thatcher of Texarkana, Arkansas and a number of other relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, Texas at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, under the direction of Bates Rolf New Boston. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the funeral home.
