Obituary for David J. Berg David J. Berg, age 48, of Grand River, passed away September 27, 2018, after a valiant battle against cancer while sustaining his spirit, strength and humor. He was born in Painesville, on September 28, 1969, to the late Fred and Gloria Berg. He was a proud, loving, and amazing husband, brother, uncle and dear friend.
The state record holder cherished spending time with his brother, Fred, “the state record holder netter” at their dock. David also loved spending quality time with his wife, family and friends while cooking, drinking, gambling, fishing and planning the next trip. David was hardworking and a well-respected colleague at Metal Seal Precision LTD.
A tremendous loss is felt by all of those who were blessed and honored to know him. David is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 15 years, Kelly Berg (nee Deau), siblings Pam (Randy) Tirpak, Fred (Colleen) Berg, Laura (Ed) Lawrence, mother-in-law, Karen (Dan) Kubicek, father-in-law, Jim (Linda) Deau, brother-in-law, Jim (Laura) Deau, sister-in-law, Kim (Michael) Andrews, aunt, Charlene (Jon), nephews and nieces, Doug (Lydia), Missy (Kris), Shain, Brittany (Da’Wayne), Ashley (Juan), Aaron, Kristi (Sam), Josh, Lindsey, Ryan, Tessa, great-nephews, Alex, Silas, Grady, William, Henry and Dominidc, great-nieces, Maddie, Mila and Aubree, dear friends, John, Mike, Rusty, Guy, Miguel and David and many more close friends that were considered family and his beloved dog, Pete. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8pm to at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd. , Eastlake. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Painesville, 242 N State St, Painesville, OH 44077.
