Obituary for David J. Granny Jr. David J. Granny Jr., age 83 of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. He was born February 27, 1935 in Braddock, a son of the late David James and Lillian (Hardy) Granny. He worked for over 40 years as a crane operator at the Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock before retiring.

David had a passion for going camping and watching Nascar races. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons David James Granny III and Douglas Granny; his brothers; and all but one of his sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years Patricia “Pat” (McGarrity) Granny; children Latricia “Lettie” (David) Blasioli of Jeanette, Debbie (Joe) Stickle of Jeanette, Thomas (Cheryl) Granny of Irwin, and Joanne (Craig) Campbell of Youngwood; daughter-in-law Audrey Granny of Irwin; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister Peg Kitchen of Plum; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday for a funeral service with Rev. Dr. Clifton Suehr officiating.
