Prairie du Chien, WI David L. Hudson age 76 of Prairie du Chien passed away suddenly Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home. He was born December 26, 1942 in Lancaster, WI the son of George and Lucille (Kress) Hudson. He married Elaine Marish on November 30, 1963 at St. Clement’s Church in Lancaster.

David worked as a body man for Pioneer Motors in Lancaster and later for Mineral Motors and Pioneer Ford both in Platteville, WI. David later owned and operated Mound View Motors in Platteville until his retirement in 2003. He was an avid fan of the Brewers and the Packers.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine of Prairie du Chien, his son David (Katherine) of Platteville, his brothers, Richard of Clinton, IA, Robert (Gloria) of Cassville, WI and Michael (Lois) of Lancaster, his grandchildren, Trista (Richie) Reuter, Chealsey (Matt) Steffen, Shaun (Johanna) Stecklein, Shannon (Jeremy) Kisting, Shane (Addie) Kemnitzer, his great grandchildren, Ryan, Lucy, Zoey, Ely, Ethan, Chase, Mackenzie, Gavin and Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents. David will be sadly missed by all of his friends and family.

A visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. Deacon Mark Grunwald will officiate. A private family interment will be at a later date.
