David Leroy Karg passed away on September 6, 2018. Visitation will be Monday, September 10 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at South Main Church of Christ at 2:00 pm.
David was born and raised in Litchfield, Minnesota to Peter and Ella Karg on Febuary 5, 1938. He joined the Army at a young age which led him to his wife of 56 years, Hazel, who he met while stationed at Fort Hood. In 1978 they moved… Read More » to Weatherford to raise their family.
In David’s free time he enjoyed hunting, farming, spending time with his family and attending South Main Church of Christ where he was been a lifelong member. He is proceeded in death by his parents; step-father, Eddie Olieander Swanson; sisters, Donna (Willard) Schwartz, Karen (Kenny) Khol; and in laws Doyle and Vernell. Survivors include his wife, Hazel; daughter, Lina (Robert) Bates; son, Doyle Karg; grandchildren, Hannah Marie, Madelyn Avery, and Dance Christopher Bryan; brother, Willard “Sunny” (Mary Ann) Karg; sisters, Shirley (Willard) Johnson, Bonnie (Leo) Staglemyer; and a host loving friends.
