David Michael Holcomb 05 Feb 1950 – 15 May 2019 David “Mike” Holcomb born 02/05/1950, age 69, went to be with his Lord on May 15, 2019. He passed away at home. Mike was preceded in death by parents S.D. and Marie (Tanner) Holcomb; and brother Dan Holcomb.

He left behind his loving wife of 39 years Cheryl Caver Holcomb of Atlanta TX; sons Michael Holcomb of Atlanta TX, Jeremy Holcomb of Atlanta TX, and Joshua Holcomb and wife Mandi of Queen City TX; daughter Beth (Holcomb) Newsom of Greenwood LA; Grandchildren: Tamara Yancy, Kolby Holcomb, Aaron Newsom, Bentley Newsom, Abbie Newsom, River Holcomb, Laken Holcomb, Haylie Chesworth, and Hayden Holcomb; one great granddaughter; sister Sonja Shaw of NM; mother-in-law Lura Caver; sisters-in-law Carla Bean, and Cara Clayton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other family and friend who loved him dearly. “Mike” was a wonderful person, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Anyone who knew him knew how big his heart was and how much he loved his family.

His smile and his drive for life were truly pure and full of joy. Mike was also a US Army veteran. David Michael Holcomb’s services will be under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held in his honor, Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Queen City Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow immediately beginning at 3:00 PM. He will be interred at Shady Dale Cemetery in Queen City TX with military honors.
