Obituary for David Movius March 6, 1925 to April 14, 2018 David Movius was born March 6, 1925 and died April 14, 2018. David was drafted out of Santa Barbara High School when he was 18 to assist in the war effort. Because of his love and knowledge of horses he was originally placed in the Horse Calvary.

He was later transferred to the Air Force where he served in Burma. David married Kathryn Yarwood in 1949. He was an avid horseman and loved team roping, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his sons Lex and Jim (Theresa); grandchildren Dustin Movius (Mayra), Mariann Melechinsky (Tom) and Emily Cervantes (Erik) and 11 great grandchildren. Dave was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 28, 2018 at Carpinteria Cemetery located at 1501 Cravens Lane. Upcoming Events Graveside 2018 APR 28.
