David R. Powers, 75, husband of Karen L. (McCullough) Powers of Phoenixville, PA and the late JoAnn (Horvath) Powers died Monday, July 23, 2018 in Seasons Hospice. Born on January 15, 1943 in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Anderson) Powers. He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School Class of 1962.

Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force. He was a former police officer for Upper Merion Township Police Department and was a truck driver for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of the 422 Motorsports Racing Team, was a Drag Racer, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 22 years, he is survived by; Son, Mike husband of Missy Powers of Phoenixville, PA Daughters, Susan Powers- Bird of London, England Michelle wife of Jeff Zawada of Perkiomenville, PA Grandchildren, Courtney, Derika, Austin, Isis, Theo, Ozzie, Nichole, and Chelsea 3 Great Grandchildren Many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be announced at a later date.
