David Ray Sanders of Pasadena, Maryland passed away surrounded by his family on July 22, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Sanders. Beloved father of Steven Sanders (Julie), Mark Sanders (Terri), and Sandra Garofalo (Mike).

Brother of Gene Sanders (Eileen) and the late Terry Sanders. Loving grandfather of Kellie Bennett (Joe), Adam Sanders, Courtney Sanders, Bethany Sanders, Nicholas Sanders and Angela Davis (Jim) and three great grandchildren Alyssa, Madison and Kaitlynn. David was born on January 1, 1933 in Cordova, Alabama.

He joined the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served for 5 years during the Korean War. Upon his return he married the love of his life, Margaret in 1955. they were happily married until her passing in 2007.

Together they raised their 3 children in Glen Burnie, Maryland, before relocating to Pasadena in 2005. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family and for many years was an avid fisherman. Those who knew Dave were drawn to his warm, kind and gentle spirit.

He remained devoted to Margaret waiting for the time he would finally join her once again. Dave exemplified the Marine Corps motto “Semper Fidelis” the Latin phrase “Always Faithful”. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and circle of close friends.

“From Strength Comes Great Kindness” Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Wednesday July 25, 2018 from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 26, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Crownsville Veteran Cemetery Chapel.
