SPITZER, David M., Sr. Age 88 of Trotwood passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born in Tipp City, Ohio on March 15, 1930 to Margaret Christine Spitzer who has preceded him in death along with his wife Rosalind Spitzer; great grandson, Jackson; sister-in-law, Arlene Louise Miller; aunt, Eva Hill; and grandparents, Emma & Joseph Spitzer. David is survived by his 3 children, Bonnie Spitzer Davis, Darla Henderson, and Marty Spitzer; 6 grandchildren, Tom, Brandon, Ryan, Cassie,… Read More » Nolan, and Jessie; and numerous great grandchildren, spouses and significant others.

David was a teacher and track coach at Trotwood Madison High School for many years. He was also a professor and coach at Wilberforce University, choir director at Trotwood U.C.C, and a member of the Trotwood and Englewood Municipal Band. He was very involved in the community and will be remembered as a wonderful dad, grandpa, teacher, mentor, and coach who touched many lives.

A Memorial Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, 7217 National Road, Brookville, Ohio 45309. Please come prepared to share your favorite memory of David. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Donations.
