Obituary for Mr. David W. Shriner Sr. FORT MEADE – Mr. David William Shriner, Sr., 100, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Lakeland Hospice House, in Lakeland, FL. Mr. Shriner was born June 23, 1918 in Erie, PA, and was a longtime resident of Oakview Lakes in Fort Meade, FL. He was retired from American Meter Co., a WW II United States Army Veteran being stationed in England, a member of the GSE Club, a member of the Greek Slovak Club of Erie, PA, and of the Lutheran faith.

Mr. Shriner was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Jerry Shriner and Helen Pfanner Shriner, son, Robert and daughter in law, Janice. He is survived by his son, David W. Shriner, Jr., Seven Valleys, PA; daughter, Denise Marie Shriner Morse, Evansville, IN; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private services will be held by the family, and memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Shriner’s name to one’s favorite veteran’s charity of choice.
