Obituary of David L. Rogers David L. Rogers David L. Rogers, age 55, of Erie, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. He was born on August 21, 1963, in Erie, PA, the son of the late Kenneth and Patricia Brown Rogers. Dave is survived by his wife Denise, one daughter Kate, two sons: Kyle Rogers and Kenneth Rogers (fiancé, Grace Majchrowicz).

He is also survived by his father-in-law Kenneth Weed. Family members include two sisters: Patricia Perkins (Stephen), Jean Rogers (partner Darlene Anne). Sister-in-law Lisa Weed, Brothers-in-law Ron Weed (Pam), and Tom Weed (Betsy).

Also surviving are nieces/nephews: David and Emily Perkins, Ryan and Calynn Perkins, Graeme and Gina Perkins, Rachel Bernhardt, Matthew Weed, Joyce (Weed) and Austin Pollard, Tim Weed, Amanda (Weed) and Andrew Miller. Dave graduated from Academy High School and attended Edinboro University. Dave gave his heart and soul to every company and/or job he undertook; whether it was Lowe’s, Bianchi Honda, Gohrs Printing, or Bizzarro’s Championship Auto Row.

He didn’t pull punches, would crack a joke, and before you knew it you were buying something and laughing about it. He was an avid fan of high school and Penn State Wrestling and was happy to talk about it to everyone. After much trial and error while remodeling our home, he had developed a love for wood-working and had many projects underway.

All arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Friends are invited to Elmwood Presbyterian Church, 2816 Elmwood Ave, Erie, PA on Sunday, March 10, 2019, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Drive, Lock Box #15120, Chicago, IL 60693 or to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater PA Chapter-Erie Office, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Suite 15, Erie, PA 16505.
