Obituary for Dawn Elizabeth Roberti Dawn Elizabeth Roberti, age 83, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. She spent her last days surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 11, 1935 to Nis and Marcella Suurballe, and was raised in Salinas, California along with sister, Nancy.

Dawn married Gino Roberti on November 20, 1955, and they were happily married for 63 years. They moved from Salinas to Fresno in 1965. Dawn loved the warm weather of the Central Valley and it became her home.

Dawn and Gino enjoyed camping and fishing together. Some of their favorite trips were with family at Pinecrest Lake and with friends fishing on the Rogue River. Dawn was happiest amongst her family, especially when they were all under one roof for the holidays and vacations.

She was a proud Wife, Mom, Gramma, Noni and Noni Grande. She was an avid sports fan…all sports; high school, college, and professional…she enjoyed it all, whether she could attend in person or watch on TV. Her “team” was the Fresno State Bulldogs, and she attended their Football and Basketball games for over 40 years.

The recent Bulldogs win in Boise made her day! Her personal sport was bowling and she continued in league play until a few weeks before her passing. Dawn is survived by her husband Gino; sister, Nancy Vielika; her children and their spouses, Leigh and Terry Trovato, Rick and Mary Roberti, and Laurie and John Smith; her grandchildren and their Tony Trovato(Megan), Gina Hawkinberry(Jason), Michael Roberti, Nicholas Roberti, Katie Roberti, Nate Smith(Haydee) and Karly Inchaurregui(Ryan).

Her great-grandchildren: Walker, Harper, Carter, Beaux, Henry and Charlie. Dawn will also be missed by nieces and nephews and many close family friends. A rosary and funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 – 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
