Dawn M. Smith-Nichter, 62, of Punta Gorda passed away November 27, 2018. She was the daughter of Thaddeus and Esther Smith, born July 11, 1956 in Fremont, MI. Dawn married her best friend, soul-mate, and loving husband, Ernie, in 2000.

They were inseparable; there is no love stronger than theirs. She enjoyed surrounding herself with family and friends; she had a big heart, always putting others before herself and going out of her way to see they were taken care of. Dawn’s grandchildren played a huge part in her life; she spent every moment she could with them, showing them how much she loved them.

Dawn will be greatly missed by her husband, Ernie; son, Thad Smith and his wife Jessica; grandchildren, Maddie and Noah; sisters, Brenda, Judy, and Debbie; and brother, Tom. Mom, you may be gone from this world, but we shall unite again with our Father in Heaven. We love you, Mom, and can’t wait to walk with you again.

You will always be our Delta Dawn.
