Obituary for Deacon Elijah Smith Deacon Elijah Smith, 83, of Huger, SC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Deacon Smith is the widower of Mrs. Juanita “Doll” Rhodes Smith. He is survived by his children: Mrs. Jamillah Numan (Dawud), Mr. Kenneth Smith, and Mr. Christopher Smith; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Magelene Wallace of Baltimore, MD; sister-and-brothers-in-law: Ida Smith, Vermelle Kinloch (Jonas), Georgia Ann Richardson (David), Levolia Rhodes, Shirley Rhodes, Frank Rhodes (Sharon), Henry Rhodes (Pauline), Charles Rhodes, and Solomon Richardson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and 2 special road buddies: Lewis Maxwell and Roosevelt Nole.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 11:00 AM at Jehovah Holiness Church, 2613 French Santee Rd. , Jamestown, SC 29453. Elder Roy Snider, Pastor.

Interment: Wesley AME Church Cemetery. Viewing for Deacon Smith will be on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Rev. Bryan McNeal, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 4129 Highway 17 N., Awendaw, SC 29429.
